Dorothy Tipps Spurlock, 86, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023, at Elk River Health and Rehab in Fayetteville.

Graveside services were held Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, at Riverview Memorial Gardens with Bro. Eric Lones officiating.

Dorothy was born Sept. 23, 1937, in Flintville, Tennessee, to the late Terrace and Kate B. Jean Tipps. She worked for many years at Elk Cotton Mills in Fayetteville. In retirement she enjoyed traveling with her husband. Dorothy was a caring and loving mother and grandmother. She was very proud of her family, and it thrilled her to be a great-great-grandmother three times over.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Glenn Spurlock; daughters, Debbie (Dale) Winsett and Tammy Stovall (Tony Robinson) both of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Carrie (Eric) Lones, Kevin (Natalie) Winsett; nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her sons, Donnie and David Reese, brother, Milton Tipps; and sisters, Edith Keller, Jean Eslick, and Colleen Capley.
