Ernest Shelton Reese, 75, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023, at his residence.

He was born May 8, 1948, in Giles County, Tennessee, son of the late Robert Reese and Edna Pullen Reese. Mr. Reese was a concrete finisher by trade.

In addition to his parents, Ernest is preceded in death by his siblings, Mildred, Robert, Hollis, Charlie, Bernice, Kaydo and Johnny Reese.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Betty Reese; daughters, Sharlene Reese and Sandra Reese; sons, James (Amanda) Reese and Edwin Reese; sisters, Margie Reese, Annie (Leroy) Brown and Norma Hall; brother, Joe Reese; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and special friends, Joe Walter March and Wayne Cosby.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with the eulogy by the Rev. Herbert Johnson. Burial followed in Browns Temple Cemetery.
