David Edward Bobo, 88, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at his residence.

He was born on Oct. 28, 1934, in Hazel Green, Alabama, and was the son of the late Roy Edwin Bobo and Della Viola Rhodes Bobo.

He is survived by daughters, Lisa Bobo (Bryan) of Hazel Green, Alabama, Pamela Carden (Dave) of Meridianville, Alabama, and Rebecca Harrison (John) of Farmington, New Mexico; brother, James Larry Bobo of Minneola, Florida; grandchildren, Jesse Lewis (Monica) of Little Rock, Arkansas and Haley Carden of Meridianville, Alabama; and cousin, Tom Scruggs of Fayetteville, Tennessee.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he gained his love for traveling. He was a computer programmer for NASA during the week and a farmer on the weekend. He enjoyed a long retirement and filled it with more farming, more traveling, and being a father, Pa and Uncle Pa. But most importantly, he was a child of God.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Carol Troup Bobo; brother, Dink Madison Bobo; sister, Geneva Bobo Manus; and nephew, Jeffrey Scott Manus.

Graveside services were held on Friday, May 19, 2023, in Riverview Memorial Gardens with family friend Mike Johnson officiating. Family and friends gathered at Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home prior to the graveside service.
