Sara Deane Mills Cook, 83 of Fayetteville, Tennessee, entered eternal life in Heaven Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

Sara was born on April 29, 1939, and was the daughter of the late Shielly Joe and Ruth Virginia Winford Mills. She was a member of the Harmony Hill Church of God and had worked in the home health field.

Graveside services were held Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens with Pastor Don Hackney officiating.

Sara is survived by her son, Johnny Vaughn of Fayetteville, Tennessee; her daughter, Teresa (Tommy) Spelce of Huntsville, Alabama; grandchildren, John Vaughn Jr. (Khristina Bradford), Debrah Vaughn, Amie Spelce and Sara Beth Nelson (Warren Nelson III); great-grandchildren, Thomas, Aubrey, and Carter Vaughn, Kiara Spelce, Daniel Angviano and Maria Rodriguez, Jordan, Adriana and Sloan Nelson; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Mrs. Jo Young and Judy Flynt.

Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Cook; her siblings, Peggy Brown, Larry Mills, Jerry Mills, JoAnn Moore and Dot May.
