Shirley D. Kimbrough, 80, of Flintville, Tennessee, passed away surrounded by her family at her home after a lengthy illness.

A memorial service was held Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Wood and Reverend Bobby White officiating.

Shirley was born March 2, 1943, in the Vanntown Community of Lincoln County, Tennessee to the late Matthew Greenville and Lillian O’Dell Gardner Kimbrough. She worked as a secretary for many years and retired from Northrop Grumman; she also studied cosmetology. Shirley was very family oriented and a wonderful sister and aunt. She enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes. Shirley passed away after a lengthy illness at her home, surrounded by her family.

Survivors include her brother, Stan Kimbrough; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; as well as her beloved dog, Lady. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dickie” Bolles; and siblings, Kathleen Walker, Charleen Davis, James Kimbrough, Billy Kimbrough, and Bobbie Kimbrough.
