Rhea Bryan West, 88, of Flintville, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at his residence.

He was born Feb. 10, 1935, in Lincoln County, Tennessee, son of the late James Willie “Jim Bill” West and Daily Lee Hill West. He attended MTSU and David Lipscomb College and he worked as a contractor in the building industry. He served as minister of Taft Church of Christ, Corders Crossroads Church of Christ, and Howell Hill Church of Christ and guest spoke at numerous other locations. Mr. West was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Liberty Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Janice Syler West; sons, Wendell West and Roger West; sister, Doris (Bobby) Cothren; brother, Joe (Laverne) West; and parents-in-law, Marvin “Hoss” Syler and Ozell Syler.

Mr. West is survived by his daughter, Debra Lynn West; brother, Harold (Diane) West; and grand-dog, Dottie Mae West.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, April 2, 2023, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Tim Rice, Kyle Macon and David Mills officiating. Burial followed in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
