Debra Ellen Green Cobb, 74, of Taft, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at her residence.

She was born Jan. 3, 1949, in Boston, Massachusetts, to the late Alfred Phillip Green and Lorraine Jackson Green. She worked as a rural postal carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.

As the daughter of a Navy veteran, Debbie moved many times from base to base across this country and overseas. She met and married Frank Cobb when she was 19 in Great Lakes Naval Base in Illinois. Two years later, they welcomed their first child Phillip while stationed in San Diego. Four years later they welcomed their second child Justin while stationed in Millington, Tennessee. After years of traveling while Frank was in the Navy, they eventually settled in southern California. They moved to the north Alabama area a few years later, then moved to Cairo, Egypt, then eventually moved to Blanche, Tennessee, in 1986, where she lived for the remainder of her time.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Frank Cobb; son: Phillip Cobb; and brothers: Ronnie Green and Gary Green.

Debbie is survived by her son: Justin (Leigh Ann) Cobb of Seymour, TN; grandchildren: Brandon Cobb and Payton Cobb; and sister: Lori Jackson.

A Celebration of Life was held on Friday, March 31, 2023, in the chapel of Gallant Riverview Funeral Home.
