“Millie Josephine “Jo” Stevenson, 81, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023, at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.

Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 30, 2023, at Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor Marine Smith officiating. Burial followed in Kirkland Cemetery.

Mrs. Stevenson was born May 5, 1941, in Detroit, Alabama, to the late Verdo and Jessma Rye Sanderson. She was a CNA with Winchester Home Health and a member of Kirkland Baptist Church. Jo enjoyed crocheting in her spare time.

Survivors include her son, Darren Scott Mann; grandsons, Brock Mann and Easton Mann; one great-granddaughter; sisters, Ruby Emerson, Murriel Dean (Marine) Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Mrs. Stevenson was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. “Bobby” Stevenson; and brothers, Billy Ray Sanderson, and James Donald Sanderson.
