2 teens charged with robbery

Two Fayetteville teens have been charged with the robbery of a man during the late afternoon of April 2.
According to Detective Dion Shockley of the Fayetteville Police Department (FPD), a man in the Madden Homes area was attacked and sustained minor injuries. A weapon was involved; however, since the investigation is ongoing, the type of weapon will not be disclosed until the investigation is complete. Following the attack the victim called 911, said Shockley.
Cmdr. Jesse Casias said, “There was no money involved.”
Demontae Ramondo Carswell, 18, Long Meadow Drive, and Justin Evan Pettie, 18, Luxor Lane, were both charged with aggravated robbery. Both men are being held at the Lincoln County Jail on $50,000 bond each.
Sgt. Amanda Rutherford was the arresting officer.
