Toledo Molding & Die in Fayetteville to close April 30 with 333 employees affected

Toledo Molding & Die, Inc. (TMD) in Fayetteville notified 333 employees on Monday morning that the plant would be closing no later than April 30. TMD, located at 11 East Park Drive, is headquartered in Toledo, Ohio, and is a manufacturing company specializing in plastic injection molding and interior and exterior automotive components. ^ is part of the First Brands Group portfolio — a company navigating Chapter 11 bankruptcy as of March 2026 and, according to published reports, was looking to sell the business. According to Lincoln County Industrial Development Board (IDB) offi cials, facilities in both Fayetteville, Tennessee, and Ohio were recently acquired by Angstrom Automotive, but they plan to shut down the Fayetteville location.

First Brands Group LLC (doing business as Toledo Molding & Die) filed a notice with the Department of Labor and Workforce Development on March 3, 2026, according to State of Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development officials.

TMD started operations in Fayetteville back in early 2017 as reported in the Times. Construction started on the building in July 2016. The announcement TMB was locating in Fayetteville was in early 2016.

Elaine Middleton, executive director of the Fayetteville-Lincoln County Industrial Development Board contacted the IDB Oversight Committee, Fayetteville Mayor Donna Hartman and Lincoln County Mayor Bill Newman about the announcement on Monday morning.

Middleton said she has contacted the State of Tennessee to coordinate a rapid response team for the affected employees. She said several local industries are already reaching out and are looking for workers.
