Rose-Etta DeLong, 86, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Shaw, Mississippi, on Oct. 8, 1938, to the late William C. Box and Janie A. Lynchard Box. She was a homemaker and a member of the Harmony Hill Church of God. She found joy in reading, crafting, and shopping.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Wade DeLong; sister, Rita Philips; and brother, Joe Box.

Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Jo (Glen) Vore of Fayetteville, Tennessee; sons, Jeff (Brandi) DeLong of Ohio, Michael DeLong of Taft, Tennessee, and Eric DeLong of California; sister, Sylvia Ahlborn of Fayetteville, Tennessee; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Hackney and the Rev. Ennis Hyman officiating. Burial followed in Gilley Hill Cemetery. The family requests no flowers, please.
