Leland Ewart, 76, passed away peacefully on Aug. 31, 2025, in Fayetteville, Tennessee. He was born on Dec. 27, 1948, in Memphis, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Leland is survived by his devoted wife, Dolly Ewart, with whom he shared 44 years of love and partnership. He was the proud father of three sons who, following their father’s example of service, each joined the United States Navy, including Scott Ewart (JoAnn) of Finksburg, Maryland, John Ewart (Britt) of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Tim Ewart (Andrea) of Hazel Green, Alabama.
He was a grandfather to five grandchildren, Shelby, Megan, Adriana, Wren, and Skyler. He is also survived by his brother, Harry Ewart and several nieces and nephew.
Leland served honorably in the United States Army, followed by 30-plus years at Amana where he retired. He will be remembered for the love he gave his family and the friendships he shared throughout his life. Leland’s quiet strength, steady presence, and genuine care for others touched many lives. Above all, he found his greatest joy in his family, and his legacy of love and devotion will continue to live on through them. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
