Mary B. Carroll was born on Aug. 29, 1931 in Shiloh, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Allen Matthew and Notra Josephine Cierley Glover.

In December of 1949, she was united in marriage to Leslie Lavon Carroll, who preceded his wife in death on March 2, 2007.

Mrs. Carroll worked as a front desk clerk at Pickwick Landing Inn. She was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church in Michie, Tennessee, and Hardin County Democratic Women. Mary enjoyed reading, shopping, traveling, flowers, and gardening.

Mary B. Carroll departed this life on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025 in Pulaski, Tennessee, at the age of 93 years, 11 months, and 18 days.

She is survived by her children, Brenda Ables (Rick) of Fayetteville, Tennessee, Lisa Tidwell (Steve) of Savannah, Tennessee, Sherry Rollins of Birmingham, Alabama, Don Carroll (Vicky) of Selmer, Tennessee, and Melinda Madden (Patrick) of Franklin, Tennessee; sister, Robbie Waters of Ooltewah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jennifer, Eric, Zach, Sarah, Emma, Charlie, Brian, Katy, Nick, Allen, Josh, Matt, Mason, James, William, and Sam; and 25 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her son, Owen Carroll; sister, Donna F. Chval; and brothers, Allen J. Glover, Ferrel C. Glover, and Johnny W. Glover.

Private graveside services were held on Aug. 20, 2025, at Center Hill Cemetery in Counce, Tennessee.
