James Thurston Flye Sr., 90, of Cornersville, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Marshall County, Tennessee, on Jan. 23, 1934, son of the late James Dallas and Bessie Adams Flye. Mr. Flye was a farmer.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Defoe Flye; second wife, Ruth Sisk Flye; son, James Thurston “Sonny” Flye Jr.; sister, Dorlene Burgess; and brother,Bobby Flye.

Mr. Flye is survived by his daughter, Vicky Flye Smith of Lebanon, Tennesse; granddaughter, Megan (Jon) Giles of Cornersville, Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Eli Watson Giles, Tinsley Quinn Giles and Adalynn Rose Giles, all of Cornersville, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, in Beechwood Cemetery with Pastor Carol Harville officiating and Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home in charge.
