Rilla Lee Sadler Obituary

Rilla Lee Sadler, 82, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away on Sept. 22, 2024, at Lincoln Medical Center in Fayetteville.

A celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, at Higgins Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be from 5 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. on Monday. Interment will take place at a later date in Nashville National Cemetery.

Rilla was born on Sept. 6, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Frederick and Violet Woolley. A devoted member of the Catholic faith, she found joy in bowling, playing bingo, and traveling the country in her motorhome. Rilla also loved to dance and listen to Motown music. Survivors include her children, Darnette Sadler, Dorothy (Jose) Aponte, Joseph (late Pamela) Sadler, and Dennis (Lynne) Sadler; grandchildren, Kristine Perez, Rico Perez, Mario (Linda) Perez, Steven (Natalie) Aponte, Erik (Ashley) Aponte, Joshua Galloway, Rachel Sadler, David Sadler, and Eric Hindman; brother, Patrick Wooley; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Rilla was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Steven Sadler; son, Eric Sadler; and siblings, Frederick “Mike” Woolley Jr., Barbara Fobar, Susan Baker, Donna Caramagno, Timothy Woolley, Irene Hill, and Mary “Teda” Spiteri.
