Shelley Anne Sly Obituary
Shelley Anne Sly, 64, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away June 30, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 5, 2024, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Ennis Hyman officiating. Burial followed in the Stewart Cemetery.
Shelley was born on Feb. 26, 1960, in Okinawa, Japan, to the late MSGT Fred Franklin Gibson and Mabel S. Gibson. Renowned as the world’s best pet groomer, she poured her heart into her craft as the proud owner and operator of Muttly’s Pet Grooming in Park City, Tennessee. Shelley found true joy in the simple moments spent with her family at home. Her kindness, dedication, and love leave an indelible mark on all who were fortunate to know her.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Sly; son, John (Jenny) Prince; granddaughter, Jordan Prince; grandson, Carter Prince; and a brother, Gary (Madeline) Gibson. In addition to her parents, Shelley was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Gibson; and a grandson, Cayden Wesley Wayne Prince.
