Mr. Bobbie Joe Land, 84, of Section, Alabama, passed away on Feb. 11, 2024, at Huntsville Hospital Hospice Family Care in Huntsville, Alabama.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024, at Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor Randall Harper officiating. Burial followed in the Stewart Cemetery.

Bobbie Joe was born on May 24, 1939, in Lincoln County, Tennessee, to the late Howard Land and Rachel Price Bliss. He worked for Republic Steel Mills and was a member of the New Canaan Church. Bobbie Joe loved his family dearly, especially his children and grandchildren. You could always count on Mr. Land watching college football.

Survivors include his daughter, Regina Mullins of Portage, Indiana; sister, Stella (Donnie) Simmons of Goreville, Illinois; beloved little friend, Harper Whritenour; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bobbie Joe was preceded in death by his sons, Darrell and Doyle Land; and a sister and her husband, Sarah (Bob “Randy”) Wolaver.
