Sue Carter Obituary
Sue Carter, 77, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, at Lincoln Medical Center. She was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee, on April 7, 1946, daughter of the late Francis Marion and Rena Mae Griffin Kent. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, J.D. ‘Sam’ Carter Jr.
Mrs. Carter is survived by her daughters, Amanda Carter of Fayetteville, Penny (Jason) Medley of Fayetteville, Jean Worley of Madison, Alabama, Diane (John) Stubblefield of Fanning Springs, Florida and Debbie McKee of Kelso; son, Jamie (Alice) Carter of Flintville; grandchildren, Jordan (Ashley) Carter, Madison (Jordan ‘Peewee’) Street, Nick Carter, Brandon McKee, Steven (Tiffany) McKee, Katie McKee, Bradley (Lindsay) Stubblefield, Jessie Stubblefield, Ashley (Camron) Creighton, Austin (Katie) Worley, Erica (Sean) Smartt, Aron (Jessica) Worley and Whittney Worley; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Judie Presley and brother, John Henry Kent.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Hall and Ronnie Thomas officiating. Burial followed in New Grove Cemetery.
