Linda Fay Fletcher Obituary

Linda Fay Fletcher, 80, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023, at her home with family by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Derrick Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26 at Higgins.

Mrs. Fletcher was born Aug.  29, 1943, in Coffee County, Tennessee to the late Porter Dean and Evelyn Norton Shelton. She was a member of the Bledsoe Church of Christ and lived out her faith daily. Fay lived her life caring for others. She loved being able to care for her family, and especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Fay was a homemaker, a wonderful cook, and could grow most any plant or tree. She loved her pets as well and treated them as members of the family. 

Survivors include her son, Ritchie Fletcher and his wife Cindy of Manchester, Tennessee; grandchildren, Robert Fletcher, Samantha Fletcher, Laura Beth Fletcher; great-grandchildren, Elli, Amiah, and Micah Fletcher; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fletcher was preceded in death by her husband, Rondell Edward Fletcher; daughter, Robin Rohling; and sisters, Nancy Newman and Bonnie Shelton.

Fay was blessed with wonderful caregivers during her illness, and the family is very thankful to Lisa Beard and Tiffany Bailey.
