Norberto (Pete) Boscio Jr. Obituary
Norberto (Pete) Boscio Jr. died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2023, at Bailey Manor.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023, at First United Methodist Church in Fayetteville with the Rev. Tommy Vann and the Rev. Ann Hatcher officiating.
Pete was born July 16, 1945, in Bronx, New York to Norberto Boscio and Olga Torres Boscio.
Pete had a long, successful career in the car business and made many lifetime friends and customers over the years. He enjoyed tending to his pool and yard and traveling with his wife and family. Pete was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in Vietnam. He was a Christian who enjoyed serving in his church during his retirement years. One of his favorite things was being “Papa” to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pete is survived by his wife of 43 years, Shelia Tomlin Boscio; daughters, Linda (Steve) Maddox; Melana (Jack) Hydrick; Shanel (Matt) Pettyjohn; Dr. Alison (Dr. Todd) Davidson; and Tonia Boscio (Joyner Telford); sisters, Carmen Castiglia, and Darlene Malevé; and brothers, Benny Boscio and Bobby Boscio. He also leaves behind grandchildren, Morgan (Jesse) Ogle; Meredith (Kelly) Cantrell; Isabelle, Caroline and Kate Hydrick; Chase, Parker and Cole Marlow; Chance Smith (Caitlyn Richards), and Reagyn Smith; as well as great-grandchildren, Colt, Braylon, Charlotte, Channing, and Asa Ogle; Ansley and Adalyn Cantrell; Chloe Williams and one great-grandchild on the way; and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Valle, and a brother, Sonny Postles.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First United Methodist Church, 200 Elk Avenue North; Fayetteville, Tennessee, 37334.
