Joe Wayne Hall Sr., 84, of Flintville, passed away Monday, July 31, 2023, at his residence.

He was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee, on Aug. 1, 1938, to the late Hubert Arnold and Cee Hall. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Willa Jean Hall. Joe retired from Dunlop Tire Company in 2000 and served as union president during his employment. He was an active member of the Howell Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed attending church singings, fishing, reading and watching westerns and wrestling.

Mr. Hall is survived by two sons, Joe (Charlotte Mitts) Hall Jr. and Jack (Tricia) Williams; two daughters, Debbie (Randy) Gifford and Pam (Tracy) Farmer; 14 grandchildren, Emma Hall, Kristen (James) Noah, Rebekah (Caleb) Hardiman, Kendall (Parks) Richardson, Chelsea (Adam) Ladd, Brandi (Stephen) Halcomb, Blake (Ariel) Farmer, Jackson (Tara) Williams, Justin Williams, Shelby Williams, Shiann Williams, Trey Stubblefield, Kelly Mitts and Rebecca Mitts; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2023, at Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with the Rev. David Baker officiating. Burial followed in Shady Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
