Gilbert Smith Bradley, 94, of Flintville, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023, in Huntland, Tennessee.

He was born Oct. 5, 1928, in Lincoln County, Tennessee, son of the late Robert Lee Bradley and Bessie Durham Bradley. Mr. Bradley was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the Flintville First Baptist Church where he joined in 1954, and a member of the Andrew Jackson # 68 Masonic Lodge. He was a farmer and enjoyed 65 years of marriage to his wife, Helen Bradley.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Bradley; son: Gilbert “Smitty” Smith Bradley Jr.; grandson, Jonah Bradley; sister, Nell Curry; and brothers, Bob Bradley, Mack Bradley, Ray Bradley, Paul Bradley, and Bert Bradley.

Mr. Bradley is survived by his grandchildren, Kelly (Joseph) Golden, Lucas (Monica) Bradley, Joshua (Nakia) Bradley, Carrie (Allen) Finchum, and Dustin (Tarah) Bradley; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, July 28, 2023, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with the Rev. Josh Moran officiating. Burial followed in Riverview Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Flintville First Baptist Church.
