Dean Tucker Obituary
Dean Tucker, also known as Diane, 72, of Fayetteville, Tennessee passed away Friday, July 14, 2023, at St. Thomas West in Nashville, Tennessee.
Funeral services for Mrs. Tucker will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Todd Gaskill officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday at Higgins.
Dean was born on Aug. 17, 1950, in Fayetteville, Tennessee, to the late Les Price and Vera Lucille Metcalf Price. She was a 1968 graduate of Flintville High School and worked as a registered nurse with Elk Valley Home Healthcare. Mr. and Mrs. Tucker were married on April 23, 1969, and they were known as the Sonny and Cher of Fayetteville. Dean enjoyed playing bingo, traveling to casinos, and playing cards, but above all, she loved her family dearly. Her grandchildren called her Mawmaw, and they were her whole world.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Randall Tucker; sons, James Randall Tucker and Bradley Dewayne (Michelle Lynn) Tucker; grandchildren, Colby, Alexis, Camren, and Alani Tucker; siblings, Wilson Price, Edward “Bug” Price, Weldon Price, James Earl (Jill) Price, Hilda (Michael) Porter, Jeff Price, and Teresa Price; brothers-in-law, Billy, Bobby (Tina), and Richard Tucker; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and special friends.
In addition to her parents, Dean was preceded in death by her siblings, Sue Henderson, Bruce Price, Dennis Ray Price, and Jenny Jones.
