JB Andersson Obituary

JB Anderson, 86, of Mulberry, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, Dec.25, 2022 at Huntsville Hospital.

He was born on June 22, 1936, in Madison County, Alabama, the son of Bob and Louella Crouch Anderson.

JB, who was known to many as “Red,” was a blessing to all who knew him. The Lord came first in his life. He loved reading his Bible and reading his devotion book each day in which both laid on the table by his favorite chair. No one on the face of this earth meant more to him than the love of his life, Anita, his wife of 62 years. His four children were very blessed to have him as their dad. He taught them the importance in working hard and the importance in loving their family, but most of all, he taught them the importance in loving our Lord and Savior. He prayed for each and every one of his family members by name on a daily basis and many more.

He lived in the Champ/Tuckers Creek community for the majority of his life and was a member of Gum Springs Missionary Baptist Church. For two years of his life, he served in the United States Army. He retired from Worth Inc/Lannom Manufacturing after 37 years of employment. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, and gardening, spending time with his family, and riding tractors with his “Tractor Club” friends.

Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Anita Fay George Anderson; daughters, Wanda (Jimmy) Simmons of Lynchburg, Tennessee, and Carol (Eric) Mann of Flintville, Tennessee; sons, Randy (Pam) Anderson of Huntland, Tennessee, and Larry (Sara McNeal) Anderson of Ardmore, Tennessee; sister, Eloise Towry of Hazel Green, Alabama; brothers, David (Pat) Anderson of Kelso, Tennessee, Bobby (Kay) Anderson of Flintville, Tennessee, and Charles Anderson of Lynchburg, Tennessee; grandchildren, Bryan Simmons, Kyle Anderson, Brianna (Tommy) Crabtree, Seth (Hope) Mann, Olivia Mann, Megan Anderson, Dustin Anderson and Dylan Anderson; great-grandchildren, Zacharias Simmons and Elliott Adams; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with the Rev. Winfred Stayton officiating. Burial followed in Champ Cemetery.

Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of JB Anderson.
