Carriage House Players Drama Camp

Carriage House Players drama camp will be held June 1 through June 5 at the Lincoln County Museum Theater, 521 Main Avenue South. Participants will have a week-long theatrical learning experience in a fun atmosphere. Junior Camp is for ages eight through 12 and is held from 9 a.m. until noon. Cost is $65. Senior camp is for ages 13-18 and runs from 9 a.m. until noon. Cost is $65. Call 931-433-1300 to register.

SCHRA meetings

The South Central Human Resource Agency will hold its budget, audit, appropriations, property personnel and 1303 committees meeting at 10 a.m. with the governing board meeting at 11 a.m. at the SCHRA Central Office, 1437 Winchester Highway.

24th Annual Jr. Fishing Rodeo

The 24th Annual Junior Fishing Rodeo will be held from 8 a.m. until noon, with registration at 7 a.m. at Stone Bridge Park. The event, presented by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, Elks Lodge #1972 and Parks and Recreation, is for kids up to 12-years old. Some poles, tackle and bait will be available. Approximately 2,500 pounds of catfish will be stocked in the canal. Professional fisherman Clay Dyer will be at the park to meet everyone. Free food, prizes will be awarded, trophies and tagged money fish. The Stone Bridge Park is located at 2010 Thornton Taylor Parkway.

First Saturday Outdoor Market

First Saturday outdoor market on the Fayetteville square begins at 9 a.m. The market features a variety of vendors selling locally-grown produce, handmade crafts, baked goods, other artisanal and food trucks. Vendor registration is required for each First Saturday event. It opens on the 15th of the month prior within the calendar event on the Fayetteville Main Street website.

Liberty Church of Christ Gospel Meeting

Liberty Church of Christ invites the public to attend a Gospel Meeting to be held from June 7 through June 10 with Allen Webster, editor of “The Spiritual Sword.” Sunday school begins at 9 a.m.; morning worship at 10 a.m.; First Sunday singing at 2 p.m. Sunday night worship at 7 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday services begin at 7 p.m. Liberty Church of Christ is located at 8 Cutoff Lane.

UT TSU Canning College

UT TSU Extension will offer the basics of pressure canning and water bath canning from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on June 11 and June 16 taught by a Family and Consumer Sciences member. On June 23 participants will learn preservation of salsa and meat, including wild game. The class will be held at the Ralph Hastings Building, UT TSU Lincoln County auditorium, 208 Davidson Street East. Cost is $35 per class. To register, call 931433-1582 or email osterha@utk.edu.

Mayberry Street Church of Christ Community Picnic

Mayberry Street Church of Christ’s Community Picnic and Fellowship event will be held from noon until 3 p.m. Activities are planned and free barbecue plates will be served. On June 14, the guest speaker for Fellowship Sunday will be Brother Kenneth, Jr. Morning worship begins at 10 a.m., Bible study at 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch. The afternoon service begins at 2:15 p.m. Mayberry Street Church of Christ is located at 412 Mayberry Street.

Petersburg Parks and Recreation Fun and Fireworks

Petersburg Parks and Recreation’s Fun and Fireworks and a beginner’s paint class will begin at 2 p.m. at the Petersburg Community Center, 509 Railroad Street. The event is a fundraiser for the Recreation Center.

Opioid and Stimulant Overdose Reversal Training

The Lincoln County Prevention Coalition lunch and learn for opioid and stimulant overdose reversal training will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 200 Elk Avenue North. The training will be led by guest speaker, Dustin Ritchie, regional overdose prevention specialist.

Hayden’s Hope Golf Tournament

Hayden’s Hope is registering sponsors and players for the upcoming golf tournament held from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Colonial Golf Club, 400 Colonial Drive, Meridianville, Alabama. Register your team or donate on the nonprofit’s website, haydenshope.com.

CPH presents I Hear America Singing

Carriage House Players presents “I Hear America Singing” will be held at 7 p.m. June 18, 19 and 20 at the Fayetteville-Lincoln County Museum & Civic Center, 521 Main Avenue South, Fayetteville. A family and friends Juneteenth Celebration to honor history and make memories will be held from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. at 1003 Hedgemont Avenue. Admission is free. The celebration includes live music, food and games.

Petersburg 12th Annual Truck and Tractor Pull

Petersburg’s Lion Club’s 12th Annual Truck and Tractor Pull begins at 7 p.m. at the Lions facility, 3000 Free Silver Road, Petersburg. Classes for beginner competitors to those with specialized machines will be included in the competition. Admission for parking is $10.

Motlow Robot Boot Camp

A free Robot Boot Camp for students 15 to 19 years of age will be held at Motlow campus from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on June 22 through June 24 and June 29 through July 1. Students will learn to program, work with Yaskawa industrial robots and receive a nine-hour certificate of completion. Music in the Park

Music in the Park, a free concert series presented by the Fayetteville-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce, begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Stone Bridge Park featuring “Strangers with Friends.” Everyone is encouraged to bring a lawn chair. Food trucks will be onsite.

June 27

Camp Blount Open House An Open House will be held at the Greer Cabin at Camp Blount from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. as part of the America’s 250th Celebration. Joseph Greer is Lincoln County’s connection to the Revolutionary War. His cabin was rebuilt on the grounds of Camp Blount, located at 1371 Huntsville Highway.

City’s Fourth of July Celebration

The City of Fayetteville Parks & Recreation Department Annual Fourth of July Celebration will begin at 4:30 p.m. at Don Davidson Park, 1701 Wilson Parkway. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m. Food trucks interested in setting up should call the recreation center at 931-433-6059.

Stars and Stripes Celebration

Stars, Stripes and Hometown Nights celebrating America’s 250 birthday will be held at the Stone Bridge Park from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and family and enjoy the evening.
