Jake Logan to take over as head baseball coach

Lincoln County baseball broke news regarding their future last week. The news came a day before the 2026 playoffs began.

It was announced April 30 that assistant coach Jake Logan will take over as head coach at the start of the 2027 season.

The Lincoln County alum will take over after spending seven years as a high school assistant. Logan coached three years at Franklin County before returning to Lincoln County in 2023.

Logan will take over a program that has won 25+ games in each of the last four seasons. In that time, the Falcons have won two district championships, made two sectional appearances and made the state tournament in 2023.

Logan will coach a talent pool that has seen numerous players go on to the collegiate level, including Division 1 talents Parker Webb, Miles Smith and Zach Hernandez.

With the future now set in stone, the Falcons can focus on the postseason, which includes hopes of hosting the region tournament for a second year in a row.
