Lincoln County tennis added more gold to the trophy case last week. The Lady Falcons defeated Warren County 4-3 to claim the district championship.

The game clinching win was in singles competition. It was senior Hadley Hardin who won her match 8-1 to seal victory for the Lady Falcons.

Lincoln County won two of the three doubles matches and also got singles wins from Chloe Gibson and Klara Jichova.

As a team, the Lady Falcons had its season come to an end. It was at the hands of the two-time reigning state champion Brentwood Lady Bruins, 1-8.

The Lady Falcons end their season 19-4 as a team. More importantly they claimed their seventh consecutive district championship.

All that remains is Chloe Gibson competing individually. She’ll need to win both her matches in the region in order to move on to Murfreesboro.
