Free Tax Preparation and E-filing of 2025 tax returns is available by Volunteer Income Tax Preparation (VITA) volunteers for anyone whose income for 2025 is generally less than $67,000. Volunteers are available from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays through April 15 at West End Baptist Church, 200 Morgan Ave. North. No appointment is necessary.

Leadership Lincoln application process open

The Class of 2026-27 Leadership Lincoln application process is open through Aug. 5, 2026. Participants gain expanded knowledge of the community, develop relationships and acquire skills to assume a more active and effective role in addressing community needs. April 10 Prom Promises at LC High School

Prom Promises, a simulated car accident and emergency, begins at 8 a.m. at Lincoln County High School. Emergency vehicles and personnel will be present for the realistic demonstration. The event is designed to show students the devastating consequences when people drive under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

April 11 Blessing of the Bikes Ride

The 2nd Annual Blessing of the Bikes Ride, hosted by the American Legion Flintville Post 111, begins at 9 a.m. at Camp Blount Historic Site and ends at the Flintville Fire Department. Its purpose is to help the Flintville Volunteer Fire Rescue with their annual fish fry and music festival. Camp Blount is located at 1124 Huntsville Highway. Flintville Fire Department is located at 244 Flintville Road.

Flintville Volunteer Fire Rescue Annual Music Festival & Fish Fry

Flintville Volunteer Fire Rescue’s Annual Music Festival & Fish Fry begins with live music at 10 a.m. and the fish fry at 11 a.m. The cost of the fish fry is $15 and includes all you can eat. Concessions will be available and T-shirts will be on sale. All proceeds will benefit Flintville Volunteer Fire Department. Flintville Fire Department is located at 224 Flintville Road, Flintville.

Good Will Ball – Frida’s Fiesta de Flores!

Tickets are on sale for the 5th Annual Good Will Ball to be held from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. at Sacred Stone Events, 47 Hawthorne Lane. The theme is Frida’s Fiesta de Flores! Lincoln County Horseman’s Association’s Speed Show

Lincoln County Future Farmers of America (FFA) Greenhouse Plant Sale will be held from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, April 17 and from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday, April 18 behind Lincoln County High School, 1233 Huntsville Highway.

April 18 12th Annual Slawburger Chase 5k

The 12th Annual Slawburger Chase 5K will be held from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Lincoln County High School’s cross country course. The event is for all fitness levels from seasoned distance runners to walkers. Proceeds from the event will benefit the nonprofit Always Endure. Voodoo Customs is hosting its third annual spring car, truck, bikes and kids show at Lincoln County High School, 1223 Huntsville Hwy.
