Houston Floyd Caldwell Jr., 94, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away Friday, Dec. 23, 2022, at Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital in Tullahoma, Tennessee.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022, at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial followed in Kelso Cemetery.

Mr. Caldwell was born Oct. 13, 1928, in Lincoln County, Tennessee, to the late Houston F. and Lula Warren Caldwell. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and achieved the rank of captain. Houston was a plant manager for General Motors in Detroit, Michigan, and was a Mason.

Survivors include his daughters, Merile Dault of Fayetteville, and Heather Caldwell of Flint, Michigan; grandson, Evan Dault of Dallas, Texas; brothers, Alden Caldwell of Kelso, Thomas Caldwell of Spokane, Washington; and sisters, Lydia Shelton and Linda Harliss both of Chattanooga, Tennessee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirlee Caldwell; and sister, Kathleen Caldwell Hunter.
