Grady Lee Cole Obituary

Grady Lee Cole, 79, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2023, at Huntsville Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was a native of Lawrence County, the son of the late Henry Cole and Zula Hodges Cole. He was self-employed in car sales. He was an avid car enthusiast, enjoyed golfing with his friends and watching football with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, JC Cole, Lloyd Cole, LV Cole, Pete Cole, and Glenn Cole; one sister, Hayzell Pope; and his long-time companion, Jean Crowder.

He is survived by his three daughters, Carmen (Dee) Walker, Camille (Kerry) Wheeler, and Chrystal Cole all of Lewisburg; two brothers, Charles Cole, Lawrenceburg, and Hansard Leo Cole, Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren, Carrington (LeeAnn) Cole, Cassidy (Kateri) Chumbley, Kelsi Chumbley, and Colton (Hannah) Cole; six great-grandchildren, Carlee Cole, Kaleigh Chumbley, Casen (Leonardo) Cole, Kaevan Chumbley, Canden Chumbley, Kellen Cole; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Carrington Cole, Cassidy Chumbley, Colton Cole, Dee Walker, Jason Chandler, and Kenny Hopwood. Honorary pallbearers were Guy Chambers, Jimmy Spivey, Kenny Hamlin, Kerry Wheeler, and Mark Dodson.

Mr. Cole’s funeral service was conducted Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023, in the chapel of London Funeral Home and Crematory, 324 W. Church St., Lewisburg, Tennessee, with burial following in Lone Oak Cemetery.
