Virginia Ann Mills, 89, of Mt Juliet, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee.

A graveside service was held Monday, April 3, 2023, at Riverview Memorial Gardens.

Virginia was born Jan. 15, 1934, in Giles County, Tennessee, to the late John C. and Katherine Virginia Mitchell Lanier. She worked as a secretary at the Vanderbilt School of Divinity, and also enjoyed being able to stay home and raise her family. Mrs. Mills was active in the church as youth pastor and Sunday School Teacher for many years.

Survivors include children, Rik (Sherrie) Mills of Dallas, Texas, Robert (Tracy) Mills of Cleveland, Tennessee, and Catherine (Daryl) Brazier of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Johnnie Lou (Carl, deceased) Holley of Pulaski; brother, Bobby Glen (Dorothy) Lanier of Fayetteville; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mills was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Granville Mills.
