Sue Galloway, 86, of Smyrna, Tennessee, formerly of Taft, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center.

She was born on Nov. 30, 1936, in Lincoln County, Tennessee, daughter of the late Oscar Lee and Martha Elizabeth Griffin Whitman.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Jerome Galloway; daughter, Martha Sue Gothard; sister, Jean Lewter; and brother, Douglas Whitman.

She is survived by her son, Robert (Ranee) Gothard Jr. of Smyrna, Tennessee; grandchildren, Alexis Gothard and Alicia Gothard; sister, Dorothy (Ray) Vanderbrink; and brother, Thomas (Betty) Whitman.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 22, 2023, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with the Rev. Clayton Bunn officiating. Burial followed in Blanche Cemetery.
