William James ‘Jim’ Burkett, 67, of Flintville, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023, at Southern Tennessee Regional Hospital. He was born on Aug. 11, 1955, in Graham, Texas, the son of the late William Jasper ‘Jack’ Burkett and Frances Crutchfield Burkett, who survives. He was a Vietnam-era veteran who honorably served four years in the US Army as a field artillery crewman. Jim loved the Lord Jesus Christ. He was the owner of Dixie Well and Pump and was a master groundwater driller.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Wesley Burkett.

Mr. Burkett is survived by his wife, Judy Burkett; mother, Frances Burkett; daughters, Angel (Phil) McCorkle and Keri (Josh) Vogel; brothers, Bobby (Debbie) Burkett and Jonathan (Stacey) Burkett; grandchildren, Kaity Pierce, Macy Allen, Morgan McCorkle, Aiden McCorkle, Riley McCorkle and Leila Vogel; and great-grandchild, Dean Tate.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, June 9, 2023, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home. Burial followed in Flintville Cemetery.
