Raymond Junior Swinford, 80, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away Monday, May 29, 2023, at his residence, surrounded by loving his family.

Graveside services were held Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Kirkland Cemetery.

Raymond was born on Nov. 18, 1942, in Fayetteville, Tennessee, to the late Johnson Rufus Swinford and Annie Ruth Swinford. He was a graduate of Blanche High School and served in the US Army. Mr. Swinford enjoyed being outdoors, mowing the lawn, traveling to the beach and mountains, and was an avid UT Vols Fan (Go Big Orange!).

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Norma Swinford; daughters, Stefanie Fikes, and LaRonda (Chris) Naumoff; grandchildren, Jacob Naumoff, and Ashley (C.H.) Scruggs; and brothers, Charles Swinford, James Swinford and Roy Swinford. In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his grandson, Ty Fikes; and sisters-in-law, Barbara Swinford and Peggy Swinford.
