Sarah Oleda Watts, 93, of Huntsville, Alabama, formerly of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023, at her daughter’s house in Huntsville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Hollingsworth officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday morning at Higgins.

Sarah was born on Nov. 28, 1929, in Lincoln County, Tennessee, to the late Henderson Williams and Daisy Bankston Williams. She worked as a seamstress with Serbin.

Survivors include her children, Mary Hickerson, Donna Ruth Rasmussen, and Sarah Elizabeth Hillis; grandchildren, Angie Schmidt, Michael (Meredith) Hickerson, Donna (Tim) Wilbanks, Tommy Hickerson, Jr., Christy (Larry) Pryor, Charles (Jeri) Rasmussen, Jr., Randy Hillis (Mandy) Moyers and Robert Shane Moyers; siblings, Janice (Hugh) McMillan, John (Faye) Williams, Jerry Wayne Williams, and Jimmy (Wanda) Williams; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her first husband, James Robert Moyers Jr.; second husband, Joseph Baker Watts; sons, Garron Ronald Moyers, and Robert Henderson; daughters, Martha Victoria Moyers and Margie Ivenski;; sisters, Rosie Brewer, Wilma Tucker Bennet, and brothers, James Williams, and J.T. Williams.
