The Rev. Willie Lee Leslie, 93, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Lincoln Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 2, 1930, in Limestone County, Alabama.

In addition to his parents, Willie is preceded in death by his loving wife, Verna Leslie; daughter, Vondell Leslie; son: Richard Leslie; grandson: Levar Layne; and a host of other sisters and brothers.

He leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Shelvie Leslie; sons, Willie B. (Sandra) Leslie and Stefan Kent Leslie; daughter-in-law, Diane Leslie; grandchildren: Sean (April) Leslie, Gary (Karen) Holloway, Nickole (Gary) Bush, Necos Scott, Naje Leslie, Darius Leslie, LaQuae Leslie, and Lisa Craig; great-grandchildren, Rashad, Tyler, Gary Jr., Tucker, and KaLia; great-great-grandchild, Oliver Jones; brothers, Jimmy (Joyce) Edwards and Billy Leslie; sisters, Florine Dangerfield, Mary Kennerly, Barbara (Stanley) Henderson and Ella Haygood; very devoted friends, Roy Jones and Ray Stone; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 29, 2023, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home. Burial followed in Pleasant View Cemetery.
