Ruby Jean Dunivan, 85, of Dellrose, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023, at Huntsville Hospital Lincoln Health in Fayetteville, Tennessee.

Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 25, 2023, at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. John Sanders officiating. Burial followed in the Shiloh Cemetery. 

Ruby was born on June 30, 1938, in Lincoln County, Tennessee, to the late Dee Whitt Mullins and Lela Mae Hall Mullins. Mrs. Dunivan graduated from the Boonshill School and was a member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church. She worked for the Lee Company as an inspector for 15 years and later retired as a kitchen manager at the Lincoln County Jail.

Survivors include her son, Dee Dunivan and his fiancé, Becky Crews; nephew, Doyle Smith and his wife, Stephanie, and their children, Chandler and Whitley Smith; and numerous cousins. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Wayne Dunivan; brother, Thomas “Bubba” Wyndell Mullins; and sisters, Glendale Mullins, and Robbie Jane Smith.
