Sally Posey Beddingfield, 92, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.  

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2023, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Don Hackney and Bro Ennis Hyman officiating. Burial will follow in the State Line Cemetery. 

Sally was born on July 15, 1931, in Madison County, Alabama, to the late David Posey and Maude Bankston Posey. She was a 1948 graduate of Hazel Green High School and a member of the Harmony Hill Church of God. Sally was a fabulous cook, she worked as a cook at the Eighth District School for many years. Ms. Beddingfield loved gardening and was an expert seamstress.

Survivors  include her children, Danny Beddingfield, Cathy (Marvin) Powell, Marsha (Lee) Woolridge, Teddy (Deirdre) Beddingfield, and Lisa Adams; grandchildren, Christina (Tom) Kunz, Sarah (Aaron) Milz, Wesley (Sabrina) Powell, Jody Woolridge, Melissa Woolridge (Dennis Meeks), Patricia Woolridge (Adam Lucas), Isabella Beddingfield, and Lukas Cole Beddingfield; great-grandchildren, Harleigh McNeely, Jakob Cuckler, Clay Cuckler, Eden Cuckler, Sally Milz, Lucy Milz, Charlotte Milz, Sophia Powell, Lilianna Powell, LeeAndra Woolridge, Bella Woolridge, and Raiden Meeks; great-great-granddaughter, Ezra Roberts; brother, Jerry C. Posey; and special niece, Janice Perrigen. In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Beddingfield; brother, Alman Posey; and numerous half brothers and sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Harmony Hill Child Care Center, 3061 Huntsville Hwy, Fayetteville, TN 37334.
