Funeral service for Floyd Land, 80, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2023, at NHC Healthcare Columbia.

Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 15, 2023, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Frank Sullivan officiating. Burial followed in Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens

Floyd was born March 16, 1943, in Lincoln County, Tennessee, to the late Elbert Ross and Annie Mae Shelton Land. He worked for several years in the grocery business, drove a truck for several years for Golden Flake, and retired from PPG in Huntsville where he was a security guard. After retirement, Floyd loved being outside, piddling in his garden, and feeding all of the neighborhood squirrels, birds, and cats. He also enjoyed going to Ethridge, Tennessee, to visit the Amish community.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Jackie Kaye Love Land; daughter, Patsy Land Jones and her husband, David, of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Shane Knois, Corey (Sarah) Leverette, Bethany (Michael) Koutney, Steven Shane Land, and Stephany Nicole Land; great-grandchildren, Josiah Leverette, Chalice Knois, and Novalee Patterson. In addition to his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by his son, Steven Floyd Land; and brothers, James, William, Jerry, Phillip, and Loyd Land.
