David Alan Gibson, 67, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023 in Panama City Beach, Florida.

Graveside services were held Sunday, Oct. 1, 2023, at Stewart Cemetery with William Russell (Thumper) Pigg officiating.

David Alan Gibson was born March 24, 1956, in Griffin, Georgia. He was one of four children born to Wynona Gardner Gibson and the late Charles Ray Gibson.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judie Rae Gibson.

David provided engineering support to various government contractors in the research and development effort for the U.S. Army AMRDEC. He was well respected by both colleagues and friends. David retired after 40 years of service.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 45 years, Malinda Walker Gibson; son, David Adam Gibson; and his beloved dog, Bella. David is also survived by sisters, Charlotte Gibson Brown (Jim) and Sandra Diane Gibson. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him and his dry wit.
