Hugh C. Crabtree, 91, of Petersburg, Tennessee, passed away Monday, Dec. 11, 2023, at Donalson Care Center. He was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee, on Aug. 21, 1932, to the late Howell and Ouida Scott Crabtree. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Faye Crabtree and Edwina Davis and four brothers, Howell Crabtree Jr., Russell Crabtree, Hubert Crabtree, and Earl Crabtree. Mr. Crabtree was a maintenance worker for the Lincoln County Board of Education and was a member of the Friendship Church of Christ.

Mr. Crabtree is survived by his wife of 69  years, Betty Jo Crabtree of Petersburg; one daughter, Debbie (Tommy) Logan of Mulberry; two sons, Hugh (Gina) Crabtree Jr. of Petersburg and Jeff (Sonya) Crabtree of Petersburg; three sisters, Liz Hale, Ann Hornaday, and Martha Hemphill; six grandchildren, Rachel Sloan, Ethan Logan, Brandy Crabtree, Nathan Crabtree, Jason Crabtree and Amber Dough; six great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Logan, Makayla Rigdon, Harper Crabtree, Lana Crabtree, Preston Harvick and Lyle Dough; one great-great-grandchild, Kinley Rigdon.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2023, in Old Orchard Cemetery with Don Hudson officiating.
