Michael Allen Johnson, 71, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023. He was born in Shelby County, Tennessee, on Oct. 26, 1952, son of the late Clarence Johnson and Julia Smith Johnson. He served as a pastor for more than 50 years and was the beloved pastor of West End Baptist Church for 33 years. He was a passionate supporter of Riverside Christian Academy.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by the love of his life and only girl he ever dated, Bonnie Lyn Johnson.

Bro. Mike is survived by his daughters, Kara and Michael Hall and Emily and Warren Porter; grandchildren, Riley Michael Hall, Caroline Grace Hall, J.T. Porter, Ty Porter, and Luke Thomas Hall; sisters-in-law, Louanne Little and Leigh and Scott Stone; nieces, Erin and Josh Tims and Ginny Stone; nephew, Adam Stone; beloved pet, Orvis; and many other children and young adults to whom he will always be Papa.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023, at the West End Baptist Church with Jim Black officiating. Burial followed in Riverview Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to West End Baptist Church or Riverside Christian Academy.
