Emma Louise Cox, 89, of Lynchburg, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024, at Donalson Care Center. She was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee, on Oct. 28, 1934, to the late Sam and Rena Hudson Steelman. She was a homemaker and a member of Friendship Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Don Cox; brothers, Fred Steelman, Walter D. Steelman and Thomas Morgan Steelman; niece, Shelby Jean Steelman; nephew, Ray Steelman and great-nephew, Brian Steelman.

Mrs. Cox is survived by her nephews, Jerry (Pam) Steelman and Bruce (Sara) Steelman; great-niece, Samantha Steelman; great-nephews, Greg Steelman, Bradley Steelman, Brice (Kelly) Steelman, Charles (Kaylan) Steelman and Paul Steelman; and a host of great-great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Sunday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
