Gary Wade DeLong Obituary
Gary Wade DeLong, 87, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Bradyville, Tennessee, on June 30, 1936, to the late Charles Franklin and Sarah Spry DeLong. In addition to his parents, Mr. DeLong is preceded in death by two sisters, Geneva Robinson and Juanita Larrimore and three brothers, Charles DeLong Jr., Don DeLong and Earl Wayne DeLong. He was a member of the Harmony Hill Church of God.
Mr. DeLong is survived by his wife of 68 years, Rose-Etta DeLong of Fayetteville; one daughter, Cathy Jo DeLong (Glen) Vore of Fayetteville; three sons, Jeffrey Wade DeLong of Ada, Ohio, Gary Michael DeLong of Taft, Tennessee and Eric DeLong of Wisconsin; one sister, Faye Johnson of Camarilla, California; two brothers, Eugene DeLong of Kentucky and David DeLong of Indiana; one sister-in-law, Sylvia Ahlborn of Fayetteville, Tennessee; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at noon Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Hackney officiating. Burial will follow in Gilley Hill Cemetery, Bradyville, Tennessee. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until noon Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024, at the funeral home.
