Phillip Ronald Hudgins, 84, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed this life on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2024, at Lynchburg Nursing Center in Lynchburg, Tennessee.

Per Mr. Hudgins request, he will be cremated with a memorial service held Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Lynchburg Funeral Home in Lynchburg, Tennessee, with Pastor Ben Bailey officiating. Burial followed at Lincoln Cemetery in Fayetteville, Tennessee.

A native of Lyles, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Oscar Elmon and Sudie Mae Hastings Hudgins. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Phillip was of the Church of Christ faith and attended the Plainview Church of Christ in Hazel Green, Alabama. He was a systems engineer and retired from AEDC. Mr. Hudgins is survived by his wife, Bonnie Eloise Hudgins of Fayetteville, Tennessee; sons, Darren Hudgins of Fayetteville, Tennessee, Terry Hudgins of Clarksville, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Miranda Marie (Paul) Defoe of Hazel Green, Alabama, Lakon Murray Hudgins (Walter) Moody of Clarksville, Tennessee, Deven Scott (Kaitlyn) Hudgins of Fayetteville, Tennessee, Bonnie Carol Hudgins of Mobile, Alabama, Phillip Douglas Hudgins of Clarksville, Tennessee; five great-grandchildren, Kaylie Defoe, Kensley Defoe, Kyler Defoe all of Hazel Green, Alabama, Daiten Hudgins and Kylie Hudgins both of Fayetteville. Phillip is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
