William Ernest Wattenbarger of Fayetteville, Tennessee passed from this life on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024 at Donalson Care Center in Fayetteville at the age of 85. T

he family has chosen cremation with a Memorial Service planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Northside Church of Christ.

He is the son of the late Howard and Johnnie Simpson Wattenbarger and was a retired Engineer with AEDC. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Scott Anderson, and one brother, Don Wattenbarger. His survivors include his wife, Carolyn Wattenbarger of Fayetteville, daughter, Lynn (Tony) Walker of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, stepdaughter, Treva (Freddy) Buntley of Fayetteville, stepson, Troy (Kristy) Doud of Fayetteville, brother, Bob (Sue) Wattenbarger, sister, Harlene (Jeff) Read of East Tennessee, Granddaughter in law, Tracey Anderson, grandchildren, Parker Anderson, Ava Anderson, Ashley (Jake) Bills and great grandson, Logan, step grandchildren, Kyle (Haley) Buntley, Adam Buntley, Karston (Madison) Doud, Kragen Doud, Karoline Doud, step great grandchildren, Maizley Doud, Wrenlee Doud and Kenadee Doud.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Fayetteville/Lincoln County Senior Center, 908 Washington Street W. in Fayetteville, Tennessee 37334.
