Glenis Irene Johnson Sanders, 76, of Hazel Green, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at her residence. She was born March 16, 1948 in Lincoln County, Tennessee, daughter of the late William Franklin Johnson and Mandy Irene Richardson Johnson. She was a former Christian bookstore owner and minister of the Acts Worship Center.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, David Leonard Sanders; and brother, William Joe Richardson.

Mrs. Sanders is survived by her husband of 59 years, Fallie Sanders; daughter, Sabrina (Kyler) Frey; son, Terry (Sarah) Sanders; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Sanders; sisters, Hilda (Billy Joe) Allen, Doris (Ray) Honea, and Linda Neal; brother, JB Richardson; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday, May 20, 2024, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Bro. Ricky Crabtree officiating. Burial followed in Wright’s Cemetery.
