Lorene Weir Jones, 77, of Flintville, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at her residence. She was born in Lincoln County, TN on June 30, 1946, to the late Buford Earl and Vollie Jesse Pitts Weir. She worked as a school aide at South Lincoln Elementary School and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters: Addie B. Horton and June M. Jeans, and three brothers: Willie Dexter Weir, Joe Weir and Waylan Weir.

Mrs. Jones is survived her husband, Larry Jones of Flintville; one daughter, April Dhaese of Flintville; one son, Dewayne Jones of Flintville; one sister, Carol Cash of Fayetteville; one brother, Gary (Betty) Weir of Flintville; two sisters-in-law, Betty Jane Weir and Elane Barnett of Fayetteville; one brother-in-law, Bob Jeans of Kelso; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 18, 2024, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with the Rev. Chester Slayton officiating. Burial followed in Flintville Cemetery.
