William Wesley McMeen, 63, of Kelso, Tennessee passed away July 19, 2024, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Graveside services were to be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Lincoln Cemetery. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.

Mr. McMeen was born on Nov. 18, 1960, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was loved by all who knew him and carried many names including Willie, Billy, and most importantly Pop! Willie was a 1978 graduate of Central High School and he enjoyed hunting and working on motorcycles and old cars. He worked 45 years with Copperweld, holding many positions during his employment, most recently in the Furnace Room.

Survivors include his son, Bryan McMeen and his wife Bridget; grandchildren, Travis, Ella, William, Paige, and Lenley McMeen; brothers, James “Jimmy” McMeen, Charles “Chuck” McMeen Jr. and his wife Becky; sister, Barbara McMeen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
