Ruby Jane Truesdale Obituary

Ruby Jane Truesdale, 85, a resident of Fayetteville, Tennessee since 1973, passed away peacefully in Meridianville, Alabama, on July 12, 2024.

She was born Feb. 7, 1939, to the late Harvey G. and Neva Moore in Carroll County, Ohio. Ruby is preceded in death by her husband, Marion C. (Mike) Truesdale and her oldest brother, Thomas. She is survived by her brother, Carl; three children including sons, Mike Truesdale and Craig Truesdale (wife Deb), and daughter, Terri (Paul) Ghilardi; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Ruby was employed at the old Fayetteville Hospital, where she was instrumental in starting and running the gift shop and starting the Life Alert program for Lincoln County. She also worked at Paul Badenhop Company and eventually retired from Fayetteville Medical Associates. Due to her love of animals, Ruby enjoyed pet sitting for many residents of Lincoln County. Her many interests included acting and directing with the Carriage House Players and she was also an extra in a movie. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, painting, writing, and reading. Ruby will be remembered for her unfailing love of God and family, always persevering with a joy, wit and sense of humor that always left those who encountered her feeling better. She was loved by many.

A memorial service was held Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home, Fayetteville, Tennessee, with burial following at Lebanon Cemetery, 219 Old Molino Road, Fayetteville, Tennessee, next to her husband, Marion.
